AF4 is the beginner-friendly single-car format league with a lot participants. Up until Season 7 races used to be split in two finals. From Season 14 onwards new format was introduced - featuring the split for Am and Pro classes.
The classes are based on discord ranks:
Am: Amateur, Intermediate, Good, Great Driver Rank
Pro: Elite Driver, Godlike Driver Rank

Mazda seems to seriously agree with them so, starting in 2016, there will be multiple Mazda Global MX-5 Cup series around the world, all using the same prepared 4th-generation model.
